I am not sure that this is 4K playing on my TV…or is it normal 1080p HD – there is absolutely no way to verify this.having said that the youtube videos are million times better, and its youtube!Īt least “amazon prime” displays the info about what is being played – HD 1080p, HDR, or UHD.but Neflix doesn’t ! Still – the playbacks from my apple tv Netflix app and the “so called 4K” on my Samsung’s Netflix app are exactly the same to me. I was told to “ask the ISP to reset my connection” – whatever that meant, was done eventually. I called Netflix customer services over chat line and was told to do many trouble shooting things – which I did, but nothing happened. I presumed, and read that there will be a difference of those extra pixels and will be 4 times better than usual 1080p HD. I looked for “UHD” contents on Netflix and played “House of Cards Season 4” just to see the much awaited “4K” reception…it’s no better than 1080p HD played through my Apple TV Netflix app. I was adamant to see 4K, so I got new fibre line (40 Mbps) which was installed after a long wait on 11th Jan.Īs I was getting bandwidth of 36Mbps to the TV by WiFi, I upgraded my Netflix account and was ready to go… I was advised by the customer services that 4k will only play on connections over 25 Mbps. I very recently (Dec-2016) bought a new 4k UHD TV (Model : UE55KS9000, Samsung), and since I had Netflix already I tried playing 4k videos on it, which didn’t play obviously as my internet was only 6Mbps.
